Scholarships & Student Support

Scholarships are available through multiple sources—including Encore Boston Harbor, the Boston Private Industry Council and several local agencies—for applicants who qualify for financial assistance to complete the program. Residents from surrounding communities are strongly encouraged to apply. To be eligible, candidates must apply to and register for a program and complete a scholarship application. Other requirements may apply for scholarships provided directly by a granting agency to interested students. The scholarship application requests information that establishes financial need and eligibility status. Scholarship recipients will be determined via a Gaming Career Institute review panel, and financial need will be a primary determinant, as well as the ability to meet the specific criteria listed below. Applicants will need to deposit funds to reserve their spot in their desired program, prior to scholarship notification. Funds will be refunded upon award of scholarship, or, if a scholarship is not awarded, the applicant will be able to withdraw from the course for a full refund. Applicants are strongly encouraged, but not required, to include a letter of recommendation from a community organization with their application.
